Better Food is out There, but Where?
Tuesday, July 8th, 2008
It’s now new idea that there are healthy benefits of organic food and that organic agriculture can provide sufficient food for the future for everyone. Whether you grow it yourself or get it from a local farmer the benefits are tops with organic grown produce.
It has been claimed for years that chemical fertilizers and pesticides use is necessary to produce enough food for the world’s population. But other claims have stated that if all foods were grown organically only on land already being cropped, the yields in development countries would provide more than enough foods and calories to feed and supply to the world’s population. And ultimately it’s more healthy to eat organic.
Could more diseases be controlled within the human population through less pesticide and chemicals on our produce? Pesticides and pesticide residue has been the blame of asthma and fetal issues for years. Prenatal exposure to pesticides could be linked to your child’s academic performance as well. What else could the linked to pesticides and chemicals used on produce. It’s just a smarter decision to eat organic.
