by

Horseradish (Armoracia rusticana) is a favorite condiment because of its pungent, spicy flavor, made popular by Arby’s and is still used today since it first was offered at the fast food restaurant, but it can also be used for other things as well.

Only the parts of the horseradish plant are used and they can be either dried of used fresh. Horseradish has antiseptic properties and contains a sharp-smelling mustard oil that helps stimulate the flow of mucus within the body. The root contains vitamin C, potassium, calcium, phosphorus and even iron.

Drink 1 tsp. up to 4 times a day in 1/4 cup of water as needed to relief of sinus congestion. Of add this vinegar to recipes that you would like to give an added kick in spice too that call for vinegar already.

For a Horseradish Wine: Bring 2 tsp. of grated horseradish to a boil with 1 cup of red wine over medium high heat. Boil fort 10 minutes and then strain completely.
